Long Term Disability
Insurance |
| This involves representing individuals who are seeking or who have been
denied long term disability benefits. Legal services include preparing the
disability application, appealing the claim denial within the carrier, and
litigating the claim in either federal or state court.
I have tried or favorably settled disability cases against the major
long term disability carriers in this country, and recovered hundreds of
thousands of dollars. I have successfully obtained the payment of long
disability payments to persons suffering from stroke, cancer, partial
paralysis, unsuccessful spinal surgery, chronic fatigue, Lyme Disease,
fibromyalgia, depression, finger tip psoriasis, side effects of pain
medication, and repetitive strain, among other causes of disability.
I have written on the effect of new federal regulations on processing
long term disability claims which was published in the New Jersey Law
Journal, and have lectured to the Association of Trial Lawyers of New
Jersey, the New Jersey Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers
Association, and the Bergen County Bar Association.

Employment Law |
| This includes claims by persons who are whistle blowers, or who have
been wrongfully terminated, or who has been the victim of sexual
harassment, employment discrimination by age, race, religion, national
origin, or of pregnancy discrimination.
It also includes attempts to enforce non-competition agreements, and
employment contracts, severance, pension and other ERISA covered employee
benefits as well as many other types of employment claims.
For over twenty years I have successfully settled, and when necessary,
tried employment cases in the federal and state courts. I have won age and
race discrimination cases, wrongful termination cases, and contract cases,
among other types of cases. I have also successfully pursued ERISA actions
for severance, and for long term disability insurance claims.
I have also reviewed numerous employment and consulting contracts.
I am a member of the National Association of Employment Lawyers and the
Labor and Employment Committee of the Bergen County Bar Association.

Security Investor Claims |
| This involves claims by investors against brokers and firms
who have been financially damaged by conduct in violation of the rules of
the National Association of Securities Dealers, the Securities &
Exchange Commission, or the New York Stock Exchange.
As a former trial attorney for the Securities & Exchange
Commission, I have prosecuted cases under the federal securities laws.
This includes the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act
of 1934. I am also experienced with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and
was involved in the enforcement of the federal laws regulating mutual
funds.
As a former Associate General Counsel of a public company I also have
experience with the disclosure and filing requirements applicable to
public companies as they pertain to proxies and '34 Act filings.
